Gatsby a story of lust, deceit and no romantic love Essay Example
Gatsby a story of lust, deceit and no romantic love Paper Gatsby is one of the wealthiest people In America and is completely Infatuated with Daisy Fay; someone he met, and deceived, five years ago. She Is only a figment of his imagination which he has constantly [Click] (decked) out with every bright feather that drifted his way (152). His idea of Daisy is a chimera, a green light on the wrong side of the bay. Slide 4] Gatsby deceives himself into thinking that by devoting his life to getting filthy rich, he can win back Daisy from Tom, whose freedom with money (is) a matter for reproach (1 1 He refuses to see that Daisy has mumbled short of his dreams (92) and instead clings onto his colossal postulation of Daisy. [Slide 5] Very simply and understated, Daisy Is materialistic and loves being the centre of attention. She cries over Gatsby shirts of sheer linen and thick silk and fine flannel (89), not out of love but because of the wealth she could have had with someone else. Daisy Is In love with the idea of who Gatsby Is and how religiously he has thought about her, just like Gatsby is only In love with the perfect Idea of Daisy. Although they begin an adulterous affair, Daisy is only trying to get back at Tom and is presumably many past sprees (125). Gatsby wants to have the girl everyman desired before the war, and Daisy wants to experience something new, after all shes [Click] been everywhere and seen everything and done everything (24). Their relationship exists only for each others personal gain. Of course, Daisy is ashamed when she realizes she has had an affair with a gangster but only for the sake of her image. Even in the end, the girl of his dreams has the ability to prevent his death but does nothing, further showing that she never truly loved Gatsby In any romantic way. Based on just as much lust and deceit is the relationship between Tom and Daisy. Toms old wealth is exactly what Daisy looks for in a man and Daisys popularity with other men Is like a prize Tom has won Or bought. [Slide 1 OFF money [Click] and Tom, the most obvious example being after murdering Myrtle. Ironically she describes Tom as revolting (125) and seems to despise him. She has deceived herself into thinking that image is the most important thing money can buy which makes it impossible for her to divorce Tom as it is frowned upon. Their relationship is based [Click] on no romantic love and consists of no respect as Tom makes no attempt to be discreet about his affair. It is the comfort of their wealth and selfishness to their own image that keeps them together, not romantic love. Disparaged by Tom, Myrtle Wilson, his current mistress is treated with less respect than Daisy. When she disobeys him, he smacks her on the snout without a second Hough. [Slide 7] She doesnt mind as all she wants is to pose as and be a part of the upper class. [Click] She desperately believes that Tom loves her, when really he only lusts for her. Her sister, Catherine, is convinced that its really his wife thats keeping them apart, shes a catholic and they dont believe in divorce (36). To contradict this, nothing is ever said about Daisy being a Catholic; her loose and nonreligious life style challenges the claim. Tom deceives Myrtle; he would never leave Daisy for someone who would Jeopardize his image. Slide 8] On the surface, it seems that Tom leads the perfect life and Myrtle wants to use him to rise up; the same way she used George to climb Just a little bit. Myrtle marries George because (she) thought he was a gentleman(37) and that he knew something about breeding (37), not out of love. Their relationship is based on Georges desire to have control over something in his life. When Myrtle begins to escape his control he decides that the best course of action is to lock her up; clearly showing that he does not really love Myrtle in any romantic sense but instead uses re for his own needs. No relationship in The Great Gatsby features any allusion to or imitation of romantic love. Each character builds relationships from lust and deceit. They do so in order to get whatever it is they desire and are ultimately parasites as they use all they want without giving anything back. [Click] [Click] The fact that The Great Gatsby elucidates how miserable life is for characters on opposite ends of wealth and status perhaps demonstrates Fitzgerald negative view on life and society. A society full of parasites s bound to run itself into the ground.

buy custom Crosby Manufacturing Corporation essay
buy custom Crosby Manufacturing Corporation essay Wilfred Livingston, the president of Crosby Manufacturing Corporation convened a meeting to resolve a major problem concerning the companys management cost and control systems (MCCS). She stated that the company was having difficulties in meeting competition needs since the companys MCCS reporting procedures were outdated. Livingstone pointed that in the previous year, Crosby was considered nonresponsive to three large government contracts because it could not adhere to the customers financial reporting requirements. However, recently, the government showed renewed interest in Crosby. Therefore, Livingston wanted the company to replace its current computer systems with a more advanced model to update its MCCS reporting procedures. During the meeting, the MIS and EDP managers presented the procedures to be followed in implementation of the new computer model. However, at the end of the meeting, Livingston appointed Tim Emary as the project leader, despite the fact that he was not know ledgeable in computers. In my opinion, Livingstons decision to have Tim Emary as the leader of the proposed project was a mistake. This is because; one of the fundamental aspects of project management is use of the right personnel in managing a project (Hierarchy of Project Managers inProject Management, 2010). Studies indicate that there is a hierarchy of project managers in every project management. Depending on the size of a project, and the number of sub-projects in a given project, an organization may require several individuals to oversee implementation of the project in different stages. Generally, there are three levels of management, which are present in project management. The most senior individual in a project is a programme manager (top-level project manager) followed by a project manager, and then a project leader (Hierarchy of Project Managers inProject Management, 2010). A project leader is usually an individual who manages a specific stage in a project, or all stages in case of a small proj ect. He/she should possess particular skills or expertise, related to the project being executed. This overview of hierarchy of project managers in project management indicates that every management level in project management should be allocated to an individual who has the capacity to handle all the responsibilities involved in the specific level. It is therefore clear that Livingston made a mistake by appointing Emary to hold the position of project leader for the computer-upgrading project. In the case study, Livingston clearly stated that Emary was not knowledgeabe in computers as other individuals in the project implementation team. Based on our understanding of the requirements of a project leader, Emary was not the appropriate individual for the project leader position. In this specific project, a team leader should have been an individual with computer knowledge, specifically, MIS and MCCS. Emary belonged to the planning department and not the MIS or the EDP department. Therefore, he did not have the capacity to execute the responsibilities of a project leader in this sp ecific project. The most probable reaction of the functional employees to the appointment of Emary as the project leader would have been lack of commitment to the project. Since many of the functional employees may fear contravening the decision of the president, it is likely that they did not ask the president to reverse her decision by appointing a different person to that position. However, since they knew that Emary was not the right person for that position, they probably tended to disregard his directions or contributions in the project. This can be termed as lack of commitment to the project. Lack of commitment by the key personnel in the project may result into failure of the project (failure to achieve the desired business goals), or delayed completion of the project, thus utilizing more resources than scheduled for. This may be very expensive for an organization, especially where high-valued projects are concerned. Implementation of a project entails use of networking techniques such as critical path method and what-if analysis to generate project schedules (early and late starting and ending dates). The most common constraints in project scheduling are time and cost. These two constraints have a great impact on project scheduling. The scheduled project time may be adjusted using schedule compression techniques (Advanced scheduling techniques, 2010). Compressing a projects schedule means reducing the time taken to complete a project without interfering with its scope or objectives. Time constraint can be manipulated using a compression technique known as crashing (Advanced scheduling techniques, 2010). This involves undertaking a given project within a shorter period than the scheduled time. For instance, if a project was scheduled to take thirty weeks to complete, crashing can be applied to enable completion of the project within twenty weeks. However, crashing has a direct impact on cost. Usually, crashing is accompanied by incremental costs. This is because, for a project to be completed within the crashed duration without interfering with itss scope and objectives, it requires input of additional resources such as human resources (in case of labor-intensive projects), or machineries (in case of capital-intensive projects). Incremental resources results into incremental costs. Therefore, interference of time constraint in a project has an inverse impact on cost of a project. Time constraint can also be manipulated through fast tracking. This involves performing project activities in a parallel manner as opposed to sequential manner (Advanced scheduling techniques, 2010). For instance, in the case study, Crosby can start preparing flowcharts as it awaits receipt of bids on specs. However, fast tracking can result into rework, hence increasing the time taken to complete a project, as well as the cost involved. Generally, time constraint is very important in project scheduling. If compression techniques are applied, the cost of a project is usually impacted: reduction of project time results into increased project cost. In project implementation, time is one of the major constraints, which compromises project performance quality. During the implementation process, every activity is allocated specific time within which it should be completed. This is usually done through project schedule or work breakdown structure. Apparently, project time management has a lot to do with managing a project schedule (Evans, n.d.). This entails knowing how to utilize the allocated time to get the work done before or on the scheduled date. Lack of proper time management results into delayed completion of a given project, meaning more time is taken to complete a project. Consequently, an organization incurs more cost to complete a project if a projects completion time is delayed. Moreover, delayed completion time may result in increased competitive pressure and financial difficulties, thus affecting the quality of the project during the completion stage (Evans, n.d.). Interference of a projects quality during the completion stage has direct impact on the quality of the entire project. Moreover, lack of time management when implementing a project may affect the scope of a project (Evans, n.d.). For instance, if the completion period is delayed, the personnel involved in implementing a project may be tempted to overlook some of the aspects of the project in bid to avoid further delay. This may results into interference of the scope of a project, hence affecting the quality of a project. Moreover, interference of a projects scope means failure to achieve the goals for which the project was set to achieve. Buy custom Crosby Manufacturing Corporation essay

E-government Program of Saudi Arabia Dissertation
E-government Program of Saudi Arabia - Dissertation Example In conclusion, the implementation of the Yesser program will allow technology to be used as a way of further refining existing processes in order to eventually promote economic growth. As such, most countries nowadays have their own e-government program which they use to achieve their own ends. Table 14. Frequency and percentage breakdown: The countrys economy would improve upon the implementation of the Yesser program, in the aspect that investors would find it easier to transact with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (government employees). Table 21. Frequency and percentage breakdown: The implementation of the e-government program would allow a better medium for sharing knowledge and information within government agencies (government employees). On a global scale, governments have placed high importance on the adoption of a new program referred to as e-government, as it resembles a fundamental change in the structure of any nations public sector and cultivation of culture (Silcock 2001; Lofstedt, 2005). In addition, it is also beneficial in the process of conducting business through the utilization of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools in government agencies. Prior to the introduction of such a concept, public sectors mainly focused on internal automation through the utilization of data processing machines as a means to gain efficiency in processing e-government services. The Saudi government has adopted an e-government program for political, economic, social and technological reasons.

Logistics Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 250 words - 1
Logistics - Essay Example It would greatly facilitate in reducing the logistic costs. Indeed, in the current environment of recessive environment, forging alliance vis-a-vis for using common shipment of goods makes sense because it would not only cut cost of logistics but it would also help companies to expand their business interests across geographical boundaries. Developing relationship based on transportation logistics would be the practical solution for small and medium businesses who are hit hard by recession and rising oil prices. The low cost goods could still be sold at premium in United States through such innovative business approach. Outsourcing of manufacturing goods could only be successful if the logistic costs remain stable. But as it is not possible in the current times, business relation that encourages the use of common shipment procedure amongst different business groups would be a credible alternative to restrain rising cost of transportation logistics. Development of Taylor Swift
Development of Taylor Swift Taylor Swift: Pinnacle of the Music Industry Billboard, a popular news source for music, interviewed the successful singer Sam Smith and he gave his opinion on another artist he has become quite fond of; he says, ââ¬Å" Taylor Swift is amazingâ⬠¦ Shes a role model. I really respect her. And she manages to sell a lot of records and make a lot of people happy financially, but also to keep that soulfulness, that honesty (ââ¬ËSam Smith: Taylor Swift Is Amazingââ¬â¢). Taylor Swift was raised in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania where she had discovered her passion for music and started her music career at the age of 14 after moving to Nashville. She is currently a 25-year-old singer-songwriter who is famous for country and pop music. Having only been in the music industry for a short 10 years, Taylor Swift was able to frequently top the charts with her new songs and in 2010 and at the age of 20, became the youngest artist in history to win the Grammy Award for Album of the Year. Currently holding the title of top-selling digital a rtist in music history, Taylor Swiftââ¬â¢s rise to fame is credited to not only her incredible music but also to her successful business tactics. Although some critics may say, ââ¬Å"I donââ¬â¢t really care for Taylor Swiftâ⬠¦ [She] has a very dull public personaââ¬Å" (Juzwiak). Taylor Swift is a successful businesswoman, her ability to target her audience very well with her songs has allowed her to consistently become a hit artist, and her public actions has made her a favorite among fans. Being a successful and popular artist in todayââ¬â¢s culture is a difficult task. It no longer depends on solely musical talent but also on other factors. Barbara A. Stremikis, the author of ââ¬Å"The Personal Characteristics and Environmental Circumstances of Successful Women Musiciansâ⬠presents data that analyzes the qualities and factors that many successful musicians have. ââ¬Å"Results of the study indicate that in addition to family support of musical talent, women who are to become successful musicians must be highly motivated, self-directed, and single minded in their determination to achieve their goal. They must be independent thinkers who are unconcerned about conforming to gender stereotypes and able to withstand difficult experiences related to gender and their careerâ⬠(Stremikis). The results of this study coincide with Taylor Swiftââ¬â¢s background and qualities. Also to note in the study, ââ¬Å"Probabilistic Diffusion Tractography Reveals Improvem ent Of Structural Network In Musicians that correlates improved brain activity in musicians, ââ¬Å"in long-term musical training and performance may contribute to the improved efficiency of communication between brain regions with sensory, motor, and emotional functionsâ⬠(Li). Taylor Swiftââ¬â¢s motivation for music is evident in the early years of her musical career. She has consistently shown persistence, ingenuity, and intelligence starting at a young age. Being taught how to play the guitar at the age of 12, Taylor Swift quickly fell in love with music and had started to write her own pieces. Following that, she had started playing at small venues and her family, showing support for her musical aspiration, moved to Nashville, Tennessee where 14-year-old Taylor Swift started her quick journey to the top. Taylor Swift has shown that she is an independent thinker unconcerned about conforming to gender stereotypes by being open about personal aspects of her own life that a re revealed through her songs and unafraid of criticism. Taylor Swift continually releases songs that empower individuals and creates an atmosphere of acceptance towards those who are independent and encourages individuality. For example, her song ââ¬Å"Shake It Offâ⬠is about how one shouldnââ¬â¢t let bullies get the best of them and that they should always be themselves no matter the obstacles they face. Taylor Swift has made many bright business decisions that has allowed her to further succeed in her career. Taylor Swift made a bold statement to one of the biggest music streaming giants by removing her music from Spotify. ââ¬Å"Taylor Swift has broken up with someone else this time with one of the music industrys largest players, Spotifyâ⬠(SPOTI-FIRED! Swift Yanks Her Work From Streaming Giantâ⬠). This decision was bred out of the framework that music-streaming services do not compensate artists enough. This action was a smart business endeavor because it shows that she is not allowing herself to be taken advantage of financially. She is setting an example for future artists to rethink their participation in streaming services, as they will become more prevalent in todayââ¬â¢s music culture. Another advantageous business decision was the decision to trademark her popular phrase ââ¬ËShake It Offââ¬â¢, among others. She chose to make the decision so that third p arties would not be able to benefit monetarily off of her success. ââ¬Å"ââ¬â¢What she is trying to do is to protect individual phrases within her lyrics where those lyrics have become catchphrasesââ¬â¢ explains Alexander Ross, a partner at law firm Wiggin who specializes in music. ââ¬ËOnce you have a trademarked phrase you have the right to stop someone else using it on things like merchandisingââ¬â¢ (Forde). Not only has Taylor Swift had and will continue to have successful business endeavors, but she also has perfected the ability to successfully target her audience. How successfully one is able to accurately relate their music to their audience is a good indication of how successful that artist will become. Taylor Swift is an artist who knows how to target her audience. Her music becomes something any listener can relate to. Ranging from topics of bullying to heartbreak, everyone knows someone who has personally gone through this or has gone through it himself or herself. One of her songs ââ¬ËBlank Spaceââ¬â¢ is about an unsuccessful relationship, a topic all can understand. Her talent for making her music become more of a ââ¬Ëusââ¬â¢ or ââ¬ËIââ¬â¢ kind of story rather than a ââ¬Ëherââ¬â¢ story has allowed her music to appeal to a wide variety of the population. Taylor Swift is one of the few artists in todayââ¬â¢s culture that has frequently been able to have most of her songs that are released make it to the top charts. This is due to her not her music being catchy and upbeat, but also relatable to many. Another exam ple of her talent is her recent top-charter ââ¬ËShake It Off.ââ¬â¢ This song has reached millions due to the message that it is okay to be yourself. This is something that many young fans can relate to, which has become a huge portion of her fan base. Some critics may say that Taylor Swift has a dull public persona. Although many have bashed upon Taylor Swiftââ¬â¢s public persona, her public actions show differently: ââ¬Å"When a heartbroken teenager named Kasey was dumped by her boyfriend via text, she reached out to someone she knew had experience with breakups: Taylor Swift. Kasey, who was clearly unable to sleep, posted a plaintive note on her Tumblr account at 2:09 a.m. Tuesday. (Girl, weve all been there.) ââ¬ËTaylor Swift, I hope you see this,ââ¬â¢ she wrote to the Style singer. ââ¬ËWeve been together for four months. He just texted me and told me he was done with me. Gave me no reason and kept trying to get me to do irrational things to get him back. Now hes calling me names and I just feel crumbled. I dont know what to do.ââ¬â¢ Within hours, Swift, 25, left her first comment. ââ¬ËHe ended it, just like that?ââ¬â¢ she wrote incredulouslyâ⬠(Helling). The conversation had lasted hours more and Swift was able to not only give advice to this girl that she has accumulated over the years, but was also generous enough to make a break-up playlist for this young fan in need of advice. Knowing that social media is a big contributor to todayââ¬â¢s communication: ââ¬Å"Swift has become a social-media maven, taking full advantage of the Taylor-made outlet for mixing and mingling with millennials. ââ¬ËThe younger generation is very good at communicating about themselves,ââ¬â¢ Catanach said. ââ¬ËMy students are starting to see that theyre very good with the me stories and not so much with the we stories. ââ¬ËI think what makes Taylor so successful on social media is the fact that she is the me and the we story. She is her own brand. Shes very generous with fans and very inclusive. Fans feels like theyre included in the world.ââ¬â¢Ã¢â¬ (Fassnacht). Taylor Swift has used social media to make fans feel like they are a part of her world. While many other celebrities personally manage their social media, Taylor Swift is able to personally respond to many further aiding in her positive public persona that she continues to uphold. Taylor Swift is the pinnacle of successful artists of this generation. Through 10 years of being in the music industry, Taylor has shown that she is a force to be reckoned with. With a popular status, a positive public persona, a great business sense, and the ability to target an audience successfully, Taylor Swift has become one of the most successful singers of all time. Her journey to the top was one of perseverance, strategy, and individuality. Works Cited Fassnacht, Jon. Taylor Swift, Renaissance Woman. Editorial. Reading Eagle. Economics and Global Business Essay
A) Elasticity of demand is describes as the degree of percentage change in demand for a good or service due to variation in price. Elasticity measurements can be expressed by three types of demand; inelastic demand, unit elastic demand, or relatively elastic demand. To determine the percentage of change in demand for a product or service the price elasticity equation and coefficient are used. The coefficient Ed is defined as ââ¬Å"the percentage change in quantity demanded of product divided by the percentage change in price of product Xâ⬠(McConnell, Brue, Flynn, 2012, pg. 76) The three expressions of Ed are Elastic, Inelastic, and Unit Elasticity. Elastic demand occurs ââ¬Å"if a specific percentage change in price results in a larger percentage change in quantity demandedâ⬠(McConnell, Brue, Flynn, 2012, pg. 77). For a product with inelastic demand Ed < 1. An example of elastic demand is when there is a 2% decrease in the price of chocolate that results in a 6% increase in quantity. Ed= .06/.02 = 3 Inelastic demand occurs ââ¬Å"if a specific percentage change in price produces a smaller percentage change in quantity demanded.â⬠(McConnell, Brue, Flynn, 2012, pg. 77) For products with inelastic demand Ed 0 .Inferior goods are goods that yield a negative income elasticity, Ei < 0. As consumer incomes increase, demand and purchases of these foods decrease. Examples of inferior goods are bus tickets, consignment clothing, and retreaded tires to list a few. D) Demand of a product will be elastic when there is a higher number of substitute available. This happens because consumers can easily swap one product for the other based on price. An example can be the purchase of soda. A consumer can go to the store to buy Pepsi but arrive and find a sale on Coke and buy Coke instead. The variety of soda a consumer can chose, makes the demand for Pepsi highly elastic. The same rule applies for inelastic demand of a product. If there is a limited number of substitute goods available the product or service is highly inelastic. An example wouldà be medical procedures or surgery. The alternative to surgery are very few, making medical procedures or surgery inelastic. E) The proportion of Income devoted to a good or service effects the elasticity of demand for that good or service. For goods that are of a higher proportion of income, a 15% increase in price would make the good highly elastic. But for goods that are of a lower proportion of income, a 15% increase in price would only slightly change the demand, making them lower in elasticity. An example would be a car priced at $13,000. If there is an increase by 15% the car now costs $14,950. This increase in price requires more of the consumerââ¬â¢s income making them highly elastic. Another example of how proportion of income devoted to a good effects elasticity of demand, is a pair shoes that cost $20.00. If there is a 15% price increase on the shoes, they now cost $23.00. The increase in the price of the shoes requires about the same proportion of income that the original price required. The lack of major proportional change to income makes the shoes elastic. F) Time is a factor that effects consumers demand elasticity of a product. ââ¬Å"Short-runâ⬠demand for a product is often more inelastic than ââ¬Å"long-runâ⬠demand since consumer have less time to find an alternative and normally donââ¬â¢t feel the effects of a price increase until ââ¬Å"long-run.â⬠An example would be an increase in the price of salmon. ââ¬Å"Short-runâ⬠demand of Salmon is more inelastic since the effect if the price increase hasnââ¬â¢t been felt drastically by consumers. But, in the ââ¬Å"long-runâ⬠demand for salmon will decrease making it more elastic as consumers find alternative to salmon. G) 1) Elastic demand range occurs when total revenue can be increased by decreasing price. The range for elastic demand on the graph is between $80 and $50. Total revenue increases as the price decrease. 2). Inelastic demand range occurs when total revenue can be increased by increasing price. The range for inelastic demand on the graph is between $40 and $0. Total revenue is decreasing as the price decreases. 3). Unit elastic range occurs when aà percentage change in price results in the exact same percentage change in quantity. When the price changes it does not affect total revenue on the graph. The unit elastic range for the given graph is $50-$40. References McConnell, Campbell R., Stanley L. Four factors that affect an organisations approach to talent
Economic environment: whilst the economy is on a down turn and there are a large amount of unemployed the company may have more than normal candidates to choose from and the possibility of taking on employees at a higher level, however once the economy takes an upturn and the job market improves the employees may move on unless the company provides a competitive salary/benefits package or prospects for development.Benefits: a benefits package is added value to an employee, if flexibility is offered within the package, to reflect the age, family needs and life style of a candidate this will attract a wider range of applicants and help to retain existing employees.Training and Development: will attract more candidates who are looking to expand their skills and better their careers; this will also help to retain staff within the company as they will be encouraged to apply for promotions or move within the company.Location of the place of work: if it is out of town with no public transpo rt links or good road networks to the location the company would attract fewer candidates. A lot of employees donââ¬â¢t like to travel too far to work and prefer to work nearer home. In a less populated area a company would have to look further a field as the job skills may not be available in the area.Three benefits of attracting and retaining a diverse workforceIncrease in profit: Companies can use their employees to help with their understanding of the needs of our multicultural society. As an example: within a retail employees could advise the company on specialised products to sell, in turn this could encourage more sales within the store and potentially increase profit.Increased levels of customer service: A diverse workforce will increase the levels of customer service; it can provide help with language barriers and the understanding of different needs within cultures. Age is also a factor, older customers do not always relate well to younger employees in a service environ ment and vice versa. A diverse work force will encourage a diverse customer base in turn a higher customer service level will increase the amount of customers.Increases the talent pool within a company: employees are often encouraged to apply to and work for a company with a diverse workforce, candidates/employees who have experienced a diversity in their every day lives or whilst in education will apply, this increases the talent pool available to the company and increases the chance of finding the best candidate for the job.Three factors that affect an organisations approach to recruitmentCost: Recruitment can be costly to a company and if the talent pool is not directly available they may have to pay for recruitment for example by using an employment agency. If a vacancy is not filled within the required time scale the company may use agency staff to cover the work load with additional costs incurred in comparison to a company employee.Time Scales: If a vacancy is for a specialis ed position, the company may have to look further a field for the ideal candidate. This can result in additional time taken for recruitment this in turn could put extra stress on the existing work force whilst they have to carry out additional work and customer service levels could be affected as a result. The company could also hurry the process to avoid this and result in the wrong person being employed hence the process could need to be repeated in the near future.Type of Role: A vacancy that doesnââ¬â¢t require definitive skills could result in a high level of candidates applying which in turn can make the recruitment process longer by having to sift through all of the applications or can result in fewer applications depending on the geographical economy. Recommendation to the company by existing employees can help, saving time and resulting in the ideal candidate for the job.Recruitment methods.Local career/recruitment fairs: The Company has a stand at the fair to advertise the job vacancies with recruitment material i.e. application forms, job descriptions etc, representatives from the Company such as Human resources and department managers speak directly to the potential candidates giving details of the company and vacancies available.
